Looks like just my type of read. I can't believe books are being given away freely, what a perfect thing to be free!
I read Book 2 in this series and found it really unusual, which for me is a good thing. Apart from the main characters getting together in the end, I couldn't predict anything. And I really loved how it was set not only in utterly exotic places like the underworld with some Egypt mixed in, there were also obscure (at least, to me) Canadian locations like a cemetery in Whitby.
