Gifting Books Christmas hop was organized by Reading Romances!
The best books I've ever given or received? That's a tough one, we're a big book giving family. My husband is awesome with the cookbooks, the big fancy ones with pictures of food no one in my family will actually eat. My brother is a genius in the bargain bin and picked up one of my favorite books of all time: Brady Udall's genius book of short stories - Letting Loose The Hounds. There was the year my mom gave me the Little House On the Prairie Box set - that's a treasured gift. And this year, I'm giving the new Springsteen Biography - to MYSELF! I look forward to hiding from my kids stealing time to read that gem.

My fave and the best Christmas Present ever, Last December my Dad had a heart attack and my 16 year old nephew had to have a pacemaker They both were here for Christmas and doing great and thankfully still are.

I always got books also i the best christmas book set i ever got from my parents was the babysitters club set... It was the greatest gift ever... I actually handed it down to my niece who is 10 last year i told my sister she could have the whole set as i have boys lol. She was so happy.

My favorite gift was my e-reader a couple of years ago. I had been eyeing the kindle but hadn't yet committed. My mom overheard me talking to my sister's friend about her kindle, discussing the pros and cons. Well, that year she got me a Sony E-reader. Wow, what a surprise. Best. Mom. Ever!

ReplyDeleteMy favorite gifts are always book or gift cards. I am kind of hard to shop for as I am not a materialistic person. Oh and wine or cookies. Those are always appreciated also. I got a HUGE box of Cheryl's cookies this year (if you have never heard of them or had them, you HAVE to try them) and they are absolutely amazing. My most favorite personal gift in a long time!

I love receiving & giving books as gifts. I think my favorite, was the one I gave my Mom for Christmas a few years ago. I work/volunteer at a school & a co-worker had this book displayed on her shelf. It was called "Winter's Gift". I read it & the story made me think of my Mom. I cannot remember the author's name, but it was about a horse & it's a picture book. Thanks for the giveaway!

My favorite gifts are usually books. It says a lot about the giver when they know what books your really looking forward to or would enjoy. It makes it personal. Runner-up would be gift card/money to buy books :)

There was one of her books that i had and someone stole it. And i couldnt find another copy. The one i did find was over $100 and i cant afford that.
